Front subframe

Hey guys. I went to hang my exhaust the other day and for some reason started at the back end. I went up front and noticed I missed the hole where my exhaust is supposed to go through. Heres where i'm talking about:

I noticed there is a support rod of some sorts on the subframe:

Do you think I could take that off and hang the exhaust properly? I'm worried if I take that off with my car on stands that the weight of the wheels and whatnot will bend the subframe. Is that possible?

You can remove the brace and install the exhaust. I don't see why you have to, but each to their own.

Alright cool.

I want to remove that bar to hang the front part because i'm too lazy to unhang the back part again (those rubber donuts are a bitch!)

That bar is fine to remove, it's not an "OMG, HOLD the car together. HOOOLLLDDDDDDDDDD! HOOOOOOLDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!" bar.

Interestingly enough, in my Tow Hitch incident of '02 that bar was bent and damaged severely and had to be re-formed. Fun times.

Tow truck dropped a full size tow hitch (has a bar going two directions, not just one) in front of me while I was doing 40mph down a full road. Couldn't swerve anywhere. Hit it, destroyed the oil pan, that bar, and a few other pieces.

yeah. Then the 7M crankwalked. One of like 3 7M's I've ever heard of do that. Go figure.
