so i usually post on the 3'd and 4th gen camry page due to the fact that i own a 95 cam, however...

yesterday a customer at my gas station rolled through with an mkiii and i commented "nice car" his reply was "do you want it?" being a fanatic of toyota in general "how much do you want for it?" "whats your offer?" "lets step outside and look at it" --- give it a good one over, all original interior and exterior --- "all i want for it is $700 (US)" --- 88 NA supra w/ 160k miles for $700, goin to the bank on thursday to get a $1000 loan to buy it straight up update tag, transfer title, and insure...

good deal?...

now that thats in the process, i need alittle help with common problems ect. for mkiii's that and... im going to be honest and lazy and ask what the lug spacing and offset that generally work are , dont hate me for it though.

auto or manual?

$700 isnt bad, but seems suspicious. Did he run it with you right there? Did you inspect the engine? Might have a BHG and the guy wants it gone before it gets worse.

Even then, BHG's are easy to fix.

In some areas N/A's go for as little as that toward the lower end of the price range. It's not unheard of in general though. I would definitely plan on getting it thoroughly inspected (pH test the coolant, check the oil for contamination and do a compression test). If you've got a place to do the work yourself, I'd say sure. Keep in mind though that these are NOT common cars, parts are not always easy to source and they're about 20 years old... even a low mileage one is bound to have dried out seals and bushings at least.

It's no basis for comparison, but I got mine for $300.... you'd choke if I told you what I've got invested in it now and it's still N/A (although I could put a turbo on it pretty much any time at this point).

if this falls through i think the camry is getting some k-sport coilovers :/...
