Canada 87'-7mgte: 2 to 4 cranks to get it started

Hey guys,

Having this problem for a while and seems to be getting a little worse but maybe it's just me. Everytime I start the car up after its been sitting for multiple hours it will take 2-4 cranks of the key to get it started. Once started it works and idles fine (700rpm-750rpm area when warmed up). If I drive it for a while and then shut it off, it will start back up fine on the first try with no problems. Like if I go into Walmart or somthing for 20-30 minutes. When I park it at night and start it in the morning it just takes forever for it to get going.

Wondering what things I could/should be checking for?

Thanks for the help.

Check the fuel pump. That what was causing this exact same problem on the wife's Camry. I went through the whole fuel delivery system. I went so far as to get a new ECU. Nothing worked. Changed the fuel pump a couple of weeks ago and BAM!!! no problems what so ever.

I just changed the spark plugs and it seems to start up in two cranks consistently.

Never touched the fuel pump.
