3rd Generation Need New Tail Light for Supra

Hello everybody! I'm new here but aside from that, I recently bought a 1990 Supra that had been rear-ended and I'm sort of broke. However, I am still on the search for a company that sells MKIII OEM or blackened/shadow tail lights. As it is a project, I have the greatest intentions of getting organized with every part I need. If anyone can help, it is greatly appreciated. Thanks All!

I'm not saying they dont exsist but I havent seen any OEM ones that you can order already smoked. Why not find one out of a junkyard or on the For Sale area and smoke them yourself?

I plan on doing that with mine too

Congrats on your Supra. Do you have any pictures? Welcome to the boards.

Nothing but factory available. Some claim Canadian and Japanese tails are darker than the US ones, but it's not smoked by any means. Most take them to a body shop for tinting, home brew it with VHT Nightshade, and some clearcoat them after that, or mix black and clear plastic paint to create a tinted translucent but shiny paint for use on the lenses.

And of course there is the pantyhose tint trick (search the general or off topic area)...but nothing over the counter.

VHT Nightshade is about the only way I know of.

Just looked up the pantyhose trick... are you kidding? I can't stop laughing:

That's the one! I fall over laughing every time I read:
