Unhappy Dead turbo

hey, my 1990 mk3 supra got killed since a mechanic forgot to remove a bolt when he was changing a bad head gasket. so the whole turbo is screwed since the bolt jacked up the fan, and some hoses around it were marred too. the estimate for the whole thing is more than 3g's. i need a cheaper way to fix this, please help.

dam that sucks, sorry to hear man. does the mechanic admit he made a mistake? if he does maybe he'll help you fix it, and its thats gonna cost 3grand, maybe you can find another engine to put in and hed do it for free or cheap seeing as how he caused the problem. good luck

I hate wannabe mechanics. One guy told me my engine is dead and i told him how do you know this, he said because it has an 8.9:1 compression.LOLOLOL thats what a trubo supra should have. I told him its a turbo, and he tells me it dose not matter what it is. I just took my keys and took my car home.

8.9:1 is pretty good, as the stock compression is 8.4:1. 9.2:1 for the non turbos.

you made the right move, grab your keys and run!
