Where to start for power......

hey guys, so i bet this question is asked all the time. i have a 86.5 supra 5 speed. and its non turbo cause the 86's didnt get that option. but my goals for the car is to get about 350hp. what would be the best way to get there, but not hugely expensive. im only 17 lol so im not made of money (yet). i know most of you are gonna say do the GE-->GTE swap, yeah i can do that, me and my dad rebuilt my brothers GE a few years back. my dads been a mechanic for 18yrs so hes gonna be helping me alot on this. u think the swap could be done in a weekend or so? or is there any other way to get close to those numbers with out the swap? cause i guess the biggest issue is the down time its my daily driver. so if i go with the swap thats gonna put me at about 250hp right? so after that where would i go besides the usual (intake and exhaust) talk about work me and a friend wanna build a custom supercharger set up for the 7M, i think we might try it, he says for the street the S'charging would be the way to go if we can pull it off

You're not going to make 350hp on the NA in anything that resembles "cheap" so, I'd toss that idea out the window.

The swap is your best option. And it can be done if you have all your parts together and all that jazz. The stock 7M-GTE was listed at 232hp. However, that's a crank horsepower number, that isn't at the wheels. At the wheels you're probably making ~200hp. If that.

Supercharging is a waste. Get a turbo, do it right and be done with it. You'll drop a lot of money for any kind of supercharging setup because it'll need to be damn near custom. Then you have the limits of being unable to adjust boost and a world of other issues.
