charge problem

well i have a mk3 supra non turbo i drove the car for about 15mins yesterday went this morning to start the car and battery was dead so i gave the car a jump and it started right up but i then noticed the ebrake light is on but ebrake was not up and the charge light is on as well so i decided to take the positive terminal off while the car is running to see if it would shut off and it did so went to pep boys pick up a reman bosch alt and install it car started up and no lights then i rev the car to about 4000rpm and lights came back on and alt died again plz help maybe its was just a defective alt? fuse? relay? ecu? i dunno i can't think of anything thanks

This is why you might want to test before paying for parts at random. Anyhow, test the battery and see if it is able to hold a charge. Then check all wiring, then follow the TSRM procedures for testing the charging circuit and finally the alternator again. It is rare to get a dud alternator, but 20 year old wiring is often found to have faults!
