IC Piping

So i got a spearco style intercooler off my buddy for nothing (literally, i traded him a broken rc car) and its a 2.5 inlet/outlet same side. Only thing is im really strapped for cash and im trying to think of the cheapest way to use it. I figured, buy these 2.5 to 2.25 90degree silicone elbows, slap those on it, get some 2.25 inch exhaust tubing, slide it up inbetween the silicone and the stock ic piping and vuala. Or is that a bad idea. Also, anyone know how to mount the spearco style intercooler, i dont have any brackets so im assuming fab something up, or use aluminum strips?

To do it on the cheap you are thinking correctly. You can fab brackets from steel or aluminium stock. Silicone couplers will get things pointed in the right directions and from there any pipe and a good clamp will do. I'd use T-bolts or the ones with the smooth interior like the factory Toyota ones for the real silicone couplers as the really cheap ones from the plumbing asile will damage and cut the material.

ok... so i measured the inner diameter of the inlet/outlet just to be sure, its only 2.25. So should i just get 2.25 90degree silicone couplers, because i believe the stock ic piping is 2.25 if im not mistaken, just the IC has a 2 inch inlet/outlet.
