7MGE rebuild questions

i picked up a 7mge that looks like it was ran while it lost oil pressure. has a worn crank, worn cams, all cylinders need to be bored, pistons are shot with scratches all over the skirts. it needs alot of work, so here goes.
do they make a cam bearing for the head?
how much oversized do the main and rod bearings come?

Im thinking buying even a used long block is my best bet. hone the cylinders and throw a gasket set, timing set, oil pump and rods/mains.

i have searched an the cheapest 7mge used JDM long block i can find is around $700 shipped. ebay has a rebuilt long block for $1450 shipped, any one use this guy?

That's an expensive 7MGE. Do you not have a junkyard near you that might have something more price effective?

Lots of bad reviews on the web about jdmtiger. Our local guys wouldn't buy from them if they were the only game in town. I have heard of a few cases where they refused to honour the short warranty they offer, and don't inspect to see if the engines were indeed runners. we find wreckers all over here have GE engines either in cressida's or occasional supras. There's always one or 2. I would also look to supramania or other site's for sale sections for part outs and guys swapping to GTE engines.
