Transmission

Does anybody know where to find an after market performance rebuild kit for the r154? I found it at one time and now cant remember where or what they were. Thanks

I got all my parts through driftmotion.com If you build it yourself, you will need to make sure you have or have access to a hydraulic press! Gear pullers won't work 1/2 way through.

yeah, i could use the marlin crawler parts, I just want to beef it up a bit. I hear you douglas, but unfortunately, transmissions are where I draw the line for my own work! I figure I just want to make it a little stronger

These transmissions are not that bad to work on, if you don't have a press, you can buy one from harbor frieght for less than $200 delivered. Figure how much you'll save by doing it yourself, don't draw any lines, your learning curve should always be 360 degrees!!

you have a point! I am not doing the tranny until next year, so maybe I will try that. It would save me quite a bit!

It would save you almost a $1000. You have lots of help on these forums, give it a try and if you have a problem, you have friends here that can help you through it.
