Is it reasonably doable? If so, what are the modifications I would need to do? If not, does anyone have a 7MGE for sell that hasn't been abused to hell and back?

define reasonably...there are 2 of them being done at a shop here, and while price is a personal thing, I know one mentioned being into the many hundreds of hours in custom fabrication to get it in there...(albeit these are twin GT-35R turboed) forgetting parts of course.

Reasonable would be EVERYTHING not needing to be replaced. Is it just the engine mounts needing modding or is it just a pain in the ass? I want it back on the road and I'm not made of money. I'm guessing a 7M is going back in when i find one.

Once you step away from a car's originally intended engine, it basically becomes a gut and swap. Gut everything, and find a way to put the new stuff in, and then experiment with getting it all put together so it can run. A 1uz would need mounts, plumbing, fuel system, engine management (standalone EMS), rewiring the dash and instruments, tuning and anything else you could think of from cooling to air conditioning. The 1J/1.5j/2j are the straight forward - and I use this word relative to other engines - SIMPLE swaps, but only because so much research exists already to make it fairly straight forward as to what is needed, and many of the custom parts exist from enterprising people that decided to make harnesses, mounts and other swap parts for them commercially.
