Anyone have a spare? Mine died today, I checked the wiring harness, it was good (infinite ohms with ECU and AFM unplugged), but the two leads leading to the AFM at the ECU (ECU unplugged, AFM plugged in) were reading infinite ohms which kept causing a code 31. AFM prongs (2nd and 3rd lead) read infinite, no wires attached.

Sorry, nothing here. I had the same problem if you can remember a couple of months back. I ended up getting a maft system, but then I acquired a maf sensor through ebay. I decided to make the maft install a winter project. It isn't the same part number, and it is all black instead of white ring and black body. The guy I bought it from parts out mkIII's and mr2s only, and he swore it was from a 7mgte supra. I am not sure though. I hope its not a lexus one. The car runs fine, seems a little lean though with white on the plugs. Anyway, sorry for rambling on, they can be had on ebay, but they are far and in between, and the general price is about 120 bucks.

I had taken mine apart, it was dirty inside, proably from when I had the intake pipe removed and sitting in the garage. After a through cleaning, it worked fine.

Glad to hear you got your afm worked out. I had the same problem and had to have my mechanic sort it out, cost me 450.00, rrrrrr.

Sorry to hear that. They can be cleaned as long as you are able to pull it apart. Though cleaning won't fix bad parts.

Depends on the cleaning method. I've heard lots of stories of people hosing them down with brake parts cleaner or the like and in every case I've heard that used it was the end of the sensor.

Yeah, I guess I should've clarrified that, I used "Precision Cleaner". Non-flammable, plastic safe, circuit board safe. Epoxy will cloud under a harsher, brake clean, type of chemical, such epoxies used in the photo diode.
