MKIII Body and Interior parts for sale-take your pick!

I totaled her, most interior items are good, most passenger side body parts are good, rear and driver, not so much, doors are ok and so are the windows in them. Power seat works. Engine and trans not for sale, already found a car to put them, 87 supra, of course.

Wow...sorry to hear given how much sweat equity you had in this one. I'll leave this post here a couple of days before moving it to the for sale section.

Thanks Bob. Yes, 8 months of work for 3 days of play. Too much power, not enough traction. Fish tailed on the highway in 4th gear and went right into a gaurd rail.

Wow. I don't even know what to say, that's horrible. I'm sorry. Always hate to see things like this happen.

I appreciate your sympathy, I really do. This goes to show I'm better at turning wrenches than driving, this was my fault, my carelessness. I've found 2 supra's, one is a targa, but not a turbo, the other is a turbo hard top, but both don't have engines or trans. My questions are: difficulty on putting in my engine into a non-turbo car, does a targa have to have a roll cage (like convertibles) in order to race in SCCA?

AFAIK, No. Because it's not a soft top (as long as the roof is in of course. But I'm by far an expert in SCCA. Just attended some events and know the basics.

The bodies are identical for the most part except for the cases where NA's don't have a sport package (which all Turbo models had) which is something you'll see from the outside. Brakes and such didn't differ like Mk4's so those wouldn't need swapping.

The ECU and wiring needs swapped as well as the gauges (though some people like keeping the NA voltmeter since we all run aftermarket boost gauges and the stock gauges is like sticking your head out the window to see if you're actually moving or not). NA -> T isn't too hard, especially with both cars on hand. Auto -> 5 Spd is a bit more of a pain in my mind (though I haven't done it.)

I know the turbo one is a manual, but not sure about the targa:
"I have a 1987 supra, has shaved door handles w/remote is black primer and almost ready for paint. It has a 1990 supra tail lights and three peace spoiler, has 1990 climate control inside and matching color grant sport steering wheel.everything works, lots of power no knocks or blown head gasket. And its a targa top.The starter is starting to go out and it will need rear brakes job,(disk and kalipers) you can get all four disk on ebay for 100.00 and clipers for 50.00. It has sport suspension that works .The other things that need fixing is the speedo cable broke a couple of days ago, I went to the toyota dealer and the short speedo cable is 13.00 dollars. Its not perfect, but again, is a toyota supra. If you know about supras, you know that just a good supra engine for this year will cost you about 1000.00. i put a lot of time into this car, I owned it since 1999." The turbo model has a 7mge as he didn't have the correct 7mgte to put in it, both owners agreed to remove their engines to drop the price and to sell them separately.

Liability only, frame is bent, quarter panel bashed, it is "fixable" but the cost would exceed what the car was ever or could be worth.

soc chaos, Sorry to hear, but please don't jack someone else's thread to ask unrelated maintenance questions. If you have questions or for sale items, you can post your own thread.

Thanks for your understanding
