Exclamation looking for parts

hey ... i'm looking for some cheap performance parts for 1985 toyota celica supra. The engine i have is a 5mgte 2.8l straight 6 w/ a 5 speed tranny. I know if I do an engine swap to a 7mgte it would be much faster, but right now money is an object. I was looking at stuff like an intake setup for it or something like that. If any one can give me some cheap sites for quality parts then let me know. I live in the great state of PA so the less the distance the better. Thanks (pics comming soon).

hi you dont have a 5mgte. you have a 5mge. the "t" means that you have a turbo, which (unless you added an aftermarket turbo setup yourselft) you do not have, because they have never existed.
If you want some information on this car go to celicasupra.com.
As for cheap parts. good luck with that. there is so little aftermarket for our cars that what does exist is expensive, or has to be made custom.

Hi
Well since you seem to THINK you know so much more, ill let you find that information out yourself.
I have about 8 bookmarked sites of aftermarket parts suppliers, but since you think that insulting me and then asking for help is the way to go, Ill allow you to fend for yourself

You obviously have no clue what you are talking about. If you are questioning the fact that your Supra might not be much faster if you put a 7M-GTE in it you are plain stupid. The 7M-GTE was fit to the MKIII Supra... which weighs significantly more than the MKII does. So you have a light car with 100+ horsepower than it was originally made for... not to mention that there is much more aftermarket available for the 7M-GTE. If you pull your head out of your ass check out Rabid Chimp for some aftermarket things for the MKII. Don't be such a damn wanker.... I don't think SLY was trying originally to piss you off. Just let it go!

hahaha for one i know that the 7mgte is faster then the 5mge......I was just looking for advice on where to get parts for it. Second, the only reason i took offense is because some of use focus on people's grammer mistakes... which is not what i was after. The website was all in good fun and kiding around. Oh yea.... i did check out rabid chimp and I was looking for stuff less expensive... maybe if someone here had some used stuff. Or some wisdom they can give me instead of grammer and speech corrections.

I was not originally trying to piss this guy off. I was just trying to correct something, that was not seen as a grammer mistake but as a technical mistake, seeing as how if you did think you had a 5mgte it might me making your search for parts hard. Then this a$$ insults me.
I was about to post the links to the sites i had too. I hadnt orginally because i was away from home using my laptop the first time i checked this post, and all my links are saved on my desktop.
But as you can see i have no interest in helping people who insult me.

Oh. and as for you thinking you know more about this car than me, man that makes me laugh. considering i have know about, and been researching this car for a long time, and am currently in the process of collecting parts to turbocharge my car.

And you?
Well i did a search on your previous posts and im sure someone who knows alot about this car would say this "what about the celica supras?.... what are they... " A post made 8 days ago.
So if you'd get off your high horse and pull it's head out of your a$$, and spent sometime doing some reasearch maybe you'd learn some stuff.

This is the last time im checking this lame thread. Ive got better things to do then spend time on some "know it all" moron.
Seeing as how others on this board could plainly see that i didnt try to offend you in my first post, i feel no need to continue with this.

Good day, i would suggest a moderator lock this thread, or delete it, seeing as how it has no benefit to this community.

continuing this thread has no value, unless you count the petty bickering as entertainment.
