lights wont turn off

well when i flip the head lights to the off position they just stay on, the blinkers dont work, and the tach does not work. are any of those 3 related.

no one else has had this problem, we can un plug the headlight solenoid, and you can hear it click and they shut off, but as soon as we put it back in the headlights just go back on the runners and dash lights will go off, just ot the head lights

If you can get your hands on the Toyota Electronic Wiring Diagrams (TEWD) that diagram is Flyout Page #5.

The tach is it's own issue, can't really tell you what it could be with just "not working"

Headlights are are either the integration or headlight relay or maybe the multi-switch on the column.

Blinkers also run through the flasher circuit. Make sure you have the flasher button installed/plugged in. If it's not the flashers won't work.

is your car a swapped NA?

usually using 89+ harnesses on pre 89 cars results in this..

NA and Turbo Tachometers are different, which is why yours doesn't work, and make sure your hazard switch is plugged in, chances are it's not..
