15th Annual Toronto Supra Meet - August 20-22

Hello everyone,

We are currently in the planning stages already and are hoping that early announcement of this year’s activity will help generate the response we need to book a lapping day for the Saturday event. If you are interested in participating in the event, please let us know so we can gauge interest and provide more information as we continue our efforts.

As of now, the schedule for the 3 day meet is as follows:

Friday

- Drag racing at Toronto Motorsports Park (Cayuga)
- Meet at the Tim Hortons in Cayuga and then drag race all night

Saturday

- Lapping day at one of the tracks around the GTA. (There will be a fee for this that needs to be paid prior to the meet for those interested in lapping their cars.)
- Show n shine at the track
- BBQ lunch and raffle

Alternative plans if interest in road course is lacking

- Show n shine at PUR Automotive
- Morning dyno pulls
- BBQ lunch
- Afternoon cruise

Sunday

- Scenic cruise through Forks to the Credit
- Afternoon BBQ and relax before the long drive home

Here are some pictures from past meets and we hope to see you in Toronto this August.

This is the big one kids. We should have info in the next 2 weeks on the lapping event (ie if we can find a partner to do one with).

This is the worlds longest continuously running meet on the planet...period. Longer than Vegas, longer than TX, NJ and all of the rest. Even longer than the Japanese clubs so we can tell. Come join some of the crop of the truly old school supra owners that keep coming back for more every year. We typically get attendees come from all over the east and mid west, so plan on joining them again. St louis and Newfoundland were some of the longest drives yet, and they keep on coming!

We should have hotel info out shortly, and if needed we will have a replacement itinerary for Saturday if the lapping events are a no go. If there's no lapping, we will still carve up the twisties on one of our famous long cruises.

Plan now to attend!

Ok, we've selected what we think is an ideal hotel location, and it is eastern friendly this year.

Lapping is going to happen, we've booked the track!

The Best Western Durham Hotel on the Whitby/Oshawa border. We selected this given that most of this years events will be focused on the east end. Near to Home Depot and Rona (for those last minute show and shine mods), Futureshop, Best Buy and Princess Auto, as well as the Saturday starting point at Denny's, and of course, quite reasonably priced. Book early for the cheapest rates.

We didn't block rooms this year as in the last 4-5 years any discounts they used to give to groups are gone. Most people can get better rates themselves, or through their corporate plans. Book early for the best pricing as they advertise some lower than $100/night rooms.

Here's the expedia link to the details.

Get that Corvette out of there, that's too easy of competition!!! hahah
Anyway, can people come out and check these fine rigs out... I have always wanted to get real close to a Mk4
Hopefully I might have a Mk2 by then =)
But ya is it basically owner's/registered members only?

Absolutely free to attend...but if you're not in a supra you'll be in good company. The exec team that plans the event have all basically been supraless for 3-4 years or more in some cases now! We still own them, just in various stages of restoration/modification.
