Red face 1987 7MGTE Toyota Supra Tubro Turns but doesn't start.....

Changed fuel filter and fuel pump excellent fuel pressure. I have changed the igniter harness, coil packs, wires, plugs, relays. The car is showing spark out of one of three coils. The car is turning over but not starting.....I am lost in what is needed to be done. Please help.... Olly

Before you do anything else my friend, point your finger at the CPS and say !Eureka! Your symptoms sound exactly as such as a bad CPS. You can find used ones on certain large auction sites *hint *hint, that will usually have a warranty for 30 days after you receive it. If it works for a week, it will work for a while so feel confidant with that. The CPS is not tricky to test with a multimeter, but it is kind of tricky to install. Perhaps try testing it in the car first, then if it tests good, follow the tsrm and re install it. Type in supra TSRM in google and you will find the bible.

If you're going to look at the CPS check the wires first. Most people that find bad CPS were only bad wires from the terminal into the CPS body from hanging out over the turbo side for 20 years. They can be rewired...although it is a bear as they are fairly short.
