2jzgte run on 7mge ecu?

simple as that....would a 2jzgte run on a 7mge ecu (auto ecu with 5 speed manual transmission)?

nope...unless you swap all the connectors and much of the harness there is no way. Even then, the ECU wasn't tuned for that particular 3L engine.

you might get it started and idling. you'd have to rig up some sort of a crank/cam position sensor to tell the ECU where the engine is (using a 2j or 7m distributor pickup) and use the distributor to direct spark (no COP or coilpacks for NA ECU) then deal with the 7mge AFM not being able to read 1/3 of the airflow the 2jzgte can draw so you'd have to do all sorts of crazyness there.....

short answer: Yes but you'd end up with less power than the stock 7mge engine. For the time and effort to get it to not stall or explode in boost or over 20% throttle or 2k rpm you might as well get a standalone.

good to know....found a 2jz gte sitting somewhere it shouldnt be hooked up to a 7mge ecu I'm thinking thats why its there....couldnt get it running so they sent it to a scrap yard.....just missing the turbo!
