Unhappy stock supra specs

lo, can anybody help me out with stock supra specs? i want to buy a twin turbo supra so bad but unfortunately im dont have that much money. i was thinkin about either a single turbo or a non turbo. but course i'd preffer a turbo more. im not really into the speed of the car that much but again, a faster one is better. 300zx was rather tempting but i find how it looks rather old. does anybody know the specs of a stock single turbo supra and an n/a one? or maybe can provide me a link to it? i've been lookin all over the net for it and im really getting dizzy now. and another thing, if you guys would be so kind as to help me out with the pro's and cons of a single turbo vs n/a other than the speed? thanks! any help i would greatly appreciate. sooo dizzy

I take it that you are refering to the third gen supras, and not the 4th with was the only TT for north America. If so, ~230HP turbo, 200NA. 4th gen was never offered in single turbo. Can't remember the torque off hand, but that's where the turbo has the hands down power over the NA.

i was talkin about the latest supra. the fast and the furious supra. (im not a fast and furious fanatic. i juz wanted to be specific about which gen coz im not all too familiar with generations.i've loved the supra even before that movie somehow destroyed its image. i still love it though.) its weird coz i looked on ebay and some of the supra's there say they have single turbo. i dunno. maybe the seller juz forgot to put it in as twin turbo. is 200hp bad? or is it juz ok? does anybody know that if ever i choose to modify an n/a supra engine how much it hp it can produce? coz the truth of it all, im settled with 300-350hp. dont really need more than that. but thats my preference btw thanks man. appreciate it

Single turbo MK IV supras are aftermarket turbo'ed. Most who upgrade turbos go this route due to the price of twin kits ($8k vs $4k for a single). Large singles are better for drag racing and being the dyno queen as well...twins are better for boost response at the low end and serve as better road race setups (though we are only talking a few percent one way or the other here for equivelant setups).

NA MK IV's were 220hp. Not bad for a cruiser with some zip, but will get killed by most "real" sports cars and V8's. To be perfectly honest...a new Acura TSX or TL should be a little quicker.

NA MK IV supras suffer one major problem for upgrades...the heads are very different than the TT, so you can't use TT performance parts to turbo or upgrade them. There are very few kits available for them either. They may look the same, but the intake and exhaust ports are completely different.

If 300-350 is all you want, keep hunting for the TT. A cat back exhaust alone would get you to near the 350 mark.
