there's a couple of ways to do it. Here's the easiest:

Get a parts car. You need most of the engine bay and the computer from the same year as yours. If you plan to modify it and you have a 5 speed, get the transmission and driveshaft. You might want the limited slip differential too.

You could just slap the turbo on the side of the NA, but I have no expoerience with this method and there is still alot of little things to resolve after...more a hack job and more custom stuff.

In all, the car market today makes it far cheaper to sell yours and buy the turbo model...

If you are really attached to your Supra, you might look into swapping a 1JZ-GTE into your Supra. I used to have one in a MKIII Supra and i loved that engine. IMO, 1JZ-GTE is a better engine than 2JZ-GTE for overall street use.

REALLY

Do why is the 1JZ better then a 2JZ and how much work is it to put the better of the two engines into my MKIII 90? And where can I get the engine?

1JZ is better than 2JZ due to it's smoother power delivery, especially once you start getting into more power. The 1JZ-GTE is a 2.5 liter inline 6. It loves to rev, makes smooth power which is nice for streetability. It's just my opinion that the 1JZ is better than the 2JZ. Other people feel differently. The 1JZ is a direct bolt in to the MKIII, depending on which car the 1JZ came out of. It's been some time but i think you could find the 1JZ-GTE in the J-spec 90-92 Supra Twin Turbo 'R', the Soarer and the Aristo i believe. The engine will bolt up to your stock tranny, be it a auto or 5 speed. You will have to find someone to wire up your wiring harness. I would suggest contacting Power House Racing, MVP motorsports or any other tuner/builder that has experienc with Supras to get more info on the 1JZ, although the builders will probably be biased towards the 2JZ

You can get the 1JZ through several engine importers. It's a pretty easy engine to get.
