help making an N/A block a turbo

i have a 7mge block that i'm going to redo and replace the one i have in my car now. the block is out of a non turbo car and it will be going in a turbo car. i was told that 7mge and 7mgte blocks are the same but have different pistons and also cams. i was also told the heads were different b/c of the oil and lines for the turbo. i will be buying a turbo head and using that. i just wanted to confirm that i can use an N/A block for my turbo car. i will be putting in new pistons, rods, and maybe crank. the pistons for both engines are the same size, just a different type of piston correct? are there any other issues i might run into when rebuilding the short block and think about when putting it into a turbo car? i would really appreciate the help, thank you. .

if your going to make it temporary then thats cool but you will throw more money into it that way than just buying a cheap 7mgte and rebuilding the entire motor because the 7mgte uses bigger injectors fuel pump a coil pack instead of a cap and rotor it has a pre drilled sport for the oil cooler different senors small stuff like that so you would really be better of just finding and rebuilding a 7mgte that you can find for cheap

well whats your budget? there are a lot of company's that sell good 7mgte motors they are just on the high price of almost 3 grand and some of them will come with an ecu some with 5speed tranny or sometimes both just depends where you look but i got the one that is currently in my car from http://www.jdmtigerjapanese.com/ but then again they are located in canada and there are some that are imported through different locations but it all depends on what you are looking for. Also dont forget that when you do the swap make sure you get the ecu for the 7mgte and the correct tranny but take a look at the link above and www.jspecauto.com to see what you can find or if you'd like just hit up google and type in jdm engines or motors and see what you can find. Let us knw how your search goes
