USA Sparks while putting in alternator.

I forgot to unhook the battery while installing an alternator. Wires touched and sparked at me. Now I have no power to anything although all the fuses, relays and links are good. I checked visually and with a multimeter using the continuity setting. Please help. Car stuck at parts store.

Not sure what model and year you have, but are you sure the main link has not failed? The earlier cars used a "wire style" link in the fuse box that may have blown but it will still look good as the insulation is intact, but is in fact toast.

Need more details to help further.

Odds are you blew the main 100 AMP fuse.
