Drove one, now want one

Ive been into cars since I was little and my main interest is my imports, including the Skyline, RX7, and of course the Supra. Well I drove a 94 Supra last weekend and now I want one so I was wondering if anyone know where I can find a mark 4 Supra with a targa top. I don't care if runs, wrecked, or anything I'm a damn good mechanic and would love to build it myself so if anyone knows of anything please let me know
Thanks a lot

Chris

The MKIV Supra is fairly rare. Best places to look are actually in the autotrader. I try to avoid buying from the various supra forums around if I don't know the owner, simply because most on the forums have run the cars pretty hard. You stand a better chance of finding something in great shape and unmodified from the general public. That said, If you're cool with taking over someone else's build, the forums will have more for sale than other places.

I bought mine from craigslist but the supra forums is a good place to look since it has regional sections where you probably can find one in your area. Since you're in TX theres alot of supras there, good luck.

I like to look on Craigslist. Check out what's in your city and start there.

Good luck finding one that has not been abused or rusted out.

I see. You can look in the all for sale/wanted section, just type in Toyota Supra or Supra. For example, I searched in the Austin Texas section and found 3, though they're not 1994.

There are 2 at Sunnyvale Toyota for about $40k each. One has 8k miles and the other 36k or so. Saw them on cars.com. The dealer had them at $60k last year which is ridiculously over priced. Even at $40k+ its selling for prob more than original price.

I work at an oreilley auto parts here in southwest houston texas. And my store gets an enormous amount of commercial sales. That being said we have a dealerships and little car lots. Sterling Mccall toyota a major dealership has a 95 they want $39k for theirs very clean! With about 76k miles I believe? Original 95% except the the 19's bbs on trd springs. A small dealership has one for $42k but its not original and its twin turbo fully built. The guy pickedit up for 30 grand the previous owner picked it up for 10 grand and spent 40 grand building it. That car makes people insane

Hard to justify the high prices. There are many newer cars with higher performance for the same amount of money...

Yup there are even a lot of nice used cars for 40k. Prob find a used cayman or boxster for 40k. A completely different car but very nice too.

yeah, or even a 911 (996); not to mention a brand new 370z or upcoming FR-S.
