whats the word on the new supra? Is it going to be called the 4000gt? is it still going to be an inline 6 TT? Is it going to be the DOHC V8 turbo? anyone whos heard anything please post your rumors here.

i like the older body style alot better. well since its a concept car it might look diffrent once it roll off onto the street. why did it discontinue anyways?

the main reason it was discontiniued is because sales were not great. It was too expensive. For the price of a new 93-98 supra you could easily buy a car that is more 'prestegous' ie. benz, bmw etc. The fact it was a Toyota and it was worth $70+ k CAD, was the reason for it's demise.

Even though the engineering behind it was superior than some of the higher end cars I mentioned it didn't convince the market.

The new supra is supposed to be alot cheaper in price. Rumours are that it will compete with the new Nissan 350z and will be priced similarly.

hi all,

i managed to see the "new" supra somewhere.
it looks like a dun-up version of the new celica.
is this what everyone else sees?

as for the look.... no, it wont be winning any beauty contests soon.

I kind a like the new supra, when the 4th gen supra first came out lots of people were like: "UHHHH, what's this?" then came the body kits, turbo, etc....

So let's give this car a chance, eventhough it does look like a souped up celica, but let's hope the street version is much more refined.
