loose shifter - 5speed

my shifter feels loose when its in gear..... any ideas on what this could possibly be. shifter cables... clutch... any thoguhts would help

Supras don't have cables...replace the bushings under the shifter itself. There are 2 IIRC.

IIRC= If I Remember Clearly

assuming you have either a W58 or R154 there are two bushings you can get at the Toyota Dealership to make that shifter feel like new.
