how much hp??

how much hp can a non turbo supra motor (2jz-ge, i thnk thats right) handle? and how hard is it to put a tt motor in it without swapping the 6 speed tranny to?

The GE is all iron just like GTE, with the exception of the having weaker pistons, smaller injesctors, ect. But the block itself should be able to handle just what its big brother can.

thats what i figured, how hard is it to swap in the 2jzgte motor and use the 5 speed tranny taht came stock?

from what everyone is telling me is that u should just stick w/ the 5 speed b/c the 6 speed would require alot of work and $$$ so i would keep the 5 speed

but for the swap i heard that it isnt that hard aslong as u kno what ur doing. but the wiring is hard and a pain.

good luck w/ the project i am thinking of doing the same thing but w/ a 90 supra

The stock 5spd has bad history with horsepower numbers 400+
