some qutions on my new supra

i just picked up a 87 non turbo supra for 250 buck but crack block i was wondering what motor to put in it or more like was u guys think i should do. i saw alot of performance parts are for the 7mgte motor not the 7mge motor aren't the parts the same exept for the turbo and the oil squirtors or what

You can either go 7mgte or 1jzgte. Either one will bolt in.

If you're into a big project, you can go for a 1JZ conversion, however as a pre-warning, the conversion isn't cheap and getting replacement parts for the engine is a bit tough.


You may just want to check around for a 7M block in your area and run with that.
