HAs anyone with a MkIII had the top cap on thier 7MGE/T go in a violent way on them? I got my 86.5 NA with 172000 on it, the motor purrs but I think the O2 sensor I pulled out was OE and the radiator definetly was.

A foot long crack opened up in the top cap of it and needless to say, I had to get towed. Luckly I was 100yrds from a pullout on the freeway. so I only ran like that for about 30-40sec. What are the chances that I might have caused a BHG? I'm fairly new to the supra stuff and am REALLY paranoid about that.

86.5
172000
No smoke
Black/Grey int.
5-speed w/TEMS
All power opt.

had the same thing happen to my camry like 3 days ago, weird either way as long as u didn't overheat it shouldn't have effected the head gasket, jes don't drive it till u get the radiator fixed. and we almost have the same car same options and i found out its a 86.5, but i have the silver with burgandy interior with all options and electric stuff
