1990 Supra Antenna: Attn:Bob Grieger

Aloha Bob,

Thanks for your previous assistance on my 1990 Supra Non-Turbo.

When turning on factory am/fm radio the antenna motor turns but, the rear antenna does not go up or down.

Is this an operation service or a worn out part?

Thanks again Bob,

hawaiianeye

You might just have to replace the cord that connects to the mast.

I picked up a set of replacement parts for mine and it worked just fine. I had the same issue as you, I heard the motor everytime the radio went on and off but the mast stayed put.

yep...there is a nylon cord inside the mast. You can buy it seperately from the rest (and will want to when you hear the price of hte whole antenna assembly...which I'm going to have to do this winter).
