Question 2jz engine in a Volvo 850 turbo

Hey all I was just wondering if it would be possible to drop a 2jz engine in my volvo 850 turbo?

I don't think it'll even fit in the engine bay, its a longitudinal engine and there isn't a fwd tranny that will bolt up. Unless you convert to RWD.

850 is a transverse engine, if you try to put it into a 240, 740, 760, 960.... it'll fit no problem, but you might run into problems with an 850

How about an 850 turbo motor




... and hop it up

I've seen vids on the net where an all-out 850 manages to leave two veeerrrrrrry long black marks when the driver punches it at already illegal freeway speeds (IIRC), 4th gear, I'm guessing.

Personally, for me, hopping up 740/760 Turbo Intercoolers is where it's at.

Or you can 2JZ a Cressida

i've said this before, there's conversion kits for putting in 5.0L mustang engines into volvos...

as far as i'm concerned that's a much better engine to make huge power with, there's much much more aftermarket support

Its Possable infact very easy and yes it has been done over here in australia and there is a few of those 2jz 1jz Cresida but there pirty lame lol the volvo goes hard on the 1/4 and high way but lol
