Well....see,

The brakes on my car are now at a point where replacement is going to be a must in about a month (rotors+pads).

I would like to ask the opinions of some as to what has worked for them in the past.

I'm thinking a few options:

1.) KVR Cross Drilled or Slot + KVR Pads
2.) Brembo Cross Drilled + Metal Master Pads
3.) Going the Powerslot or Powerstop route

Has anyone tried any of those combinations?

I find the stock brake setup to be more than adequate to stop quickly.

The KVR setup works great, according to Eric W, but there was a day or two of break in period where he had pretty much no brakes. That seems weird to me. it is possible he has some oil or other foreign material on the rotor to make it act that way for so long.

Geoff Mohler from http://www.speedtoys.com sells porterfield cryo treated rotors and pads, and although pricey, he says they are the best he has tried. he has tried just about everything out there.
