Manuel conversion?

Alright ive been looking to buy a 93-98 supra, but im having a little trouble finding a manuel, wich is a must. ive been looking for non turbo, just incase of engine wear or inproper care, but i would love to have a 6 spd.

I have found some decent looking deals on auto supras and was wondering how much it would cost to do a manuel 6spd or 5spd conversion?

It will be expensive. Your looking at probably a MINIMUM of 1500.

Transmission Swap

I'm doing an auto to manual trans swap for my '89 Turbo. I was calling around for used transmissions when a specialist started asking me questions.

One of the things he said to look into before trying to do the swap was to find out if the flywheel from the new trans will bolt up to the crankshaft to the engine that originally had the automatic transmission. He stated that, although he didn't know for this particular car, some engines may have different crankshafts.

So far, for my project, I've spent close to $1000 on parts. I don't even have the transmission yet. Good luck.

All mkivs share the same crankshaft. One less thing to worry about.
