my 1987 supra ran 16.4@84mph at stock boost many times, and many years ago.
It also ran a best of 15.0@95mph on 14psi with an intake filter, exhaust, and a BHG.

My 1991 has run a 16.2@86mph on stock boost.
I have yet to run her with raised boost levels.

Both supras are automatic, targa, ABS, Leather, etc...., or otherwise known as fully loaded supras.

Your mileage may vary.

Well, i can see by your picture that you have changed the front bumper skin of you 87 to a 89+ type. you could also upgrade the front seats. the nice thing about the 89+ seats is they have an electric seat back raise/lower switch, whereas yours has a big knob that slackens off with time, but it is so slow to move, you don't notice it until you are laying down at a 45 deg angle.

Do you think I would have to adapt the harness to get 89+ seats or should my existing harness (electrical) handle the new seat?

jeff montigny from http://www.suprasport.com hooked up his 89 seat to an 87-88 supra, and it was all good!

the existing switches and wiring harness were all the same.
