Q: EGT Dangerzone & Best Fuel Pressure?

Hey Any & Everyone,
Werkkrew and I just finished stage two of the fuel mod project on my 89T. Just installed the Walbro fuel pump, AFPR w/ gauge and a J tube bypass. All went well and now she flies like super-trip muthaf*cker! Took her for 2 rides she was monster-sick with as smooth an idle as I've ever heard, quiet, strong and responsive. She's running a strong 15 psi boost, the fuel pressure's reading 31 off and 41 on and my EGT is a little over 1400.

My ride's got the Lexus AFM (no advanced screw yet), NGK copper plugs, 550 injectors, stock Buschur OEM 1G BOV, stock intercooler, 60-1 CT-26 Turbo, 3" turbo back, Apexi power filter, upper hardpipes.

We're gonna finish tuning her and now need to know:

1) what the BHG dangerzone for the EGT range, is 1400 too much? And...

2) what's the best fuel pressure to be running?

Thanks to all in advance!

1) EGT is irrelevant. Detonation is. Test and tune on a wideband, not an EGT gauge.

2) ideally, you want the idle to determine the base fuel pressure. Again, a wideband will help set this value based on the car, but the ECU can compensate. 40-43 PSI is roughly a safe zone for base pressure (close to factory anyhow). Fuel pressure is a rough tuning tool however. A fuel computer is the better way to go.
