NA to TT Conversion problems

OK here is the situation,
I have a 1994 Nonturbo Supra
and I bought a TT engine fron a 1994 that was an automatic w/harness.

-I want to use my 5spd trans,flywheel,clutch,etc

-Will the Automatic harness work as long as I am using the TT 6-spd computer?
-Will my 5spd trans be ok as long as I keep the HP level down at a factory level?

thank you very much if you need any other information please ask I need to find out soon before my warentee runs out on the engine

The harness will work. You WILL need a new clutch though. There's quite a selection here: http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/Show...ategoryCd=CLUT

Be sure you get a clutch for the NA 5spd.

I'm going through the exact same process, except my engine came from a 6spd car. Cross your fingers and hope your tranny will last. They're sometimes known to blow at 300 ft-lb, but for some people they hold in excess of 500 ft-lb.

No, the stock auto tranny is capable of holding nothing near 1000HP.

So what's the NA 5-speed tranny in the MKIV? Not a W58 (or variant), is it?

if you want to put a stick on an auto the biggest thing is that you need a new ecu that came from a stick version of your car

I wouldn't say it's the biggest thing, although it would be nice to have. The auto TT ecu will work just fine with a manual tranny sitting behind the engine. It will, however, pull timing between the shifts as if there was an auto.
