I do not know of any bolt-on superchargers for the 7m series engine, but there have been people to custom build it.

There have also been several people to put a 2jz-gte in the mk3, and the sc300 has a 2jz-ge engine, or in other words, they are the same engine, but is turboed. you would have to do the customizing tricks the 2jz-gte jobs did, like custom motor mounts, and water and oil lines, plus the electrical harness.

anything is possible, but neither has been well documented as of yet.

Just use an HKS T03E, or 2835 turbo on your 7MGTE, with upgraded injectors and ECM. The motor is good for well over 400HP, and that saves you having to customize to fit a 2J in there =)

Not saying a 2J would be a bad idea, I love that motor more than my... well, maybe not THAT much... but its kind of an expensive, tricky job to do.

the 2JZ shares the same mounts as the 7M.

The only problem with fitting them in is that the rear turbo inlet tube hits the firewall...requiring some "light readjustment"

the 6spd tranny is too fat for the tranny hump in the MK3's so you have to readjust that too.

As far as reliablity and power go..the 2JZ have it all over the 7M. No BHG, stronger internals, and the ablity to run 10 and 11's with just a few mods. About the only motor I've ever seen thats actually better than the 2JZ is the RB26DETT of skyline fame.

10k+ RPM is survivable on a stock bottom end and even more tunable than our beloved 2J

Your best bet is taking the money you saved buying the 7MGTE (1000 vs 4500+) and invest it in lots of go-fast goodies
