Windshield wiper problem

I have a 1987 supra turbo and when the winshield wipers are on full power they arent very fast. I dont know if this is how they were back then or if something is wrong. Can someone help and and tell me how to fix it so it goes faster for those days when it pours.

They just don't go that fast. It's not normally an issue for most people. In theory, about the only thing you could do, would be to replace all the wiper motors with newer ones and then make sure they're getting a full 12+vdc when they're on high (actually, do that last option first). Other than that, you're SOL.
