short shifter

hey, anyone know if they make a short throw shifter for an 87 supra turbo? if so where can i get one

There are very few. There is a "C's Short Throw Shifter" that is available but it is oftenm > $300. However, there is the "SOGI" mod for the shifter. See, it's really two parts.
If you heat the middle section, you can break the rubber holding them together, leaving you with the top half of the shifter and the bottom half.

Many people just take the bottom half, put threads on the top for a shift knob and use it. It's free so many people like it. At the same time, it also transmits a LOT more of the motor noise into shifter because the rubber you removed is the dampener.

Some like it, some don't.
