Hey bros. What can you guys tell me about the Celica Supra. There is one for sale near me for $200. It runs decent for 200,000 miles. It has a decent amount of rust, the driver's side door is about ready to fall off, and the leather(or vinyl maybe) interior is pretty crappy, but other than that it's in pretty good shape. Are there any mods I could do to it(ie turbo)? Am I going to be able to get any parts for it or are they going to be waaaaayyyy too expensive to think about. Are there any exchangable parts between regular celicas or supras to a celica supra? What do ya think guys, is it worth it. I'm not a celica buff, or an oldschool supra buff, so write everything out nice for me. Tell me what you know.

thanks

Peace

you will have a hard time to find any rims now adays that you can use. manufacturers just don't make those hole patterns any more.

if it has the 5m-ge motor in it, you can throw a 7m manifold and 87-92 turbo on it, 6m-ge crank an up the displacement, or throw a hole 7m-gte engine in there.

there was also a hks turbo kit for the 5m, and a trd/spearco turbo and chargecooler kit manufactured, both kits are discontinued, and you would have to try and locate them on used parts fronts. i have only ever seen 1 of each of these kits.

you can still find springs and struts, but because there is no rear camber adjustment, the lower you make her sit, the more angled the rear tires will be, and hence, eat your tires quicker.

a 4.3lsd rear end can get you off the line very fast, but your top speed is going to be limitied to about 70mph or 80mph, instead of the 130mph we know these cars of capable of.

if you go the 7m-gte engine trasnplant, then the whole world opens up to you, and you can build it up with different turbos, fuel maps, bigger injectors, intercoolers, etc....

overall, they are a very stable and great car, well worth the 200 bones if you can get her on the road for little else.
