Does anyone know how I to identify a W58 trans just by looking at it?

I wanted to pick up one from this shop, but the owner of the shop isn't sure if it's the trans. I was looking for a w58 trans with a bellhousing that fit's the 7MGE N/A. Any help will be apreciated. thanks

The difference can be seen in the tail of the trans at the base of the shifter. The R154 has a much beefier appearance. Next time you go to the autoparts store sneak a peak in a Haynes or Chiltons manual. They should have pictures of the two transmissions.

Thanks for the info. I'll try to find some kind of measurements of the dimension of the trans.
