first car?

well i was looking for a car and while browsing i thought the supra looked the best out of everything else. so before i go on to buy it i wanna know some basic facts that i couldnt find myself.

is $1,500 a good price for a 1988 supra in good condition (engine works fine, new clutch, no accidents, needs new tires, & preforms good)

and around how much would the insurance cost be if i got in with mercury or farmers?

im mostly interested in insurance costs because i need to make sure i can afford paying for it so it doesnt end up stuck at my house.

Is this a turbo or a na? Are you going on a plan with a parent? Do you have anything on your recored right now? All of this is going to affect your rates.... but your best bet is to call your insurance company.

Through AAA I pay $100 a month for my '82 Supra and $120 a month for my "NA" '91 MR2.

hey im 16 and i have a 87 n/a supra and i got full coverage on both my moms truck and the supra and i only pay $140 a month. And thats with bad grades aswell.

cool thanx. i was hoping to get a plan with my parents, cuz im 16 n don't wanna pay that much but my folks are in farmers (expensive as hell) n i don't think i'll be gettin much of a deal. i sure its n/a.

True, but some will tell you that it's been done, others will go "What?". Others may even say that they know of the issue... I know of many people on various forums that found low compression and other signs, and decided to sell it ASAP and mask the BHG.
