Canada Opinions on Tyres

We all know how our supras can lose grip on the wet roads when torque is applied to the rear wheels, I have 225-50-R16 and am going to replace for this summer, this subject is debatable I know , however I was wondering if their was a preference for a summer tyre that is particularly good in the wet that the club members may have an opinion on..Many Thanks Knot Yew

For wet weather grip with great dry, Michelin Pilot Sports...Never left me feeling less than confident in the wet, and while I've been on slightly better dry tires, these are pretty near the top. No tire I've ever tried has been as good when the rain starts.

Also look into the Toyo T1-S or if available the new Toyo T1-R

I've been a HUGE fan of Falkens. I personally ran the Falken FK451's in the 245/45/zr16 variety on my supra. Stiff sidewalls, stickier than most other tires I've ridden on, etc. Very good tires except in the snow. Huge tires and a very nice power curve do not equate to lots of traction.

Knot Yew:

You know, in my experience I have used the Bridgestone Z rated summer tires, which have a softer rubber compound, great in the rain, but they are very expensive and will wear out in about a year. I have found the BF Goodrich Comp TAS, all seasons great all around tire and they last for along time. Also great for our Canadian wet weather!
