Fuel cut throws a code. Have you polled the TCCS yet to find out what it says is happening?

Fuel cut never threw a code on my car. You hit it, slammed your head into the steering wheel, the CEL came on, then turned off. Didn't every actually throw a code.

In my personal opinion, you're either getting a lot more boost than your gauge says, or you've got a boost leak.

Wraith, with those mod lists I'd definately say he's a Mk3 Supra w/a 60-1
(most likely) updgraded turbo.

Umm, no. It's more likely to be a boost leak. He should check stuff that doesn't involve buying gauges and tools.

Don't forget the simple things. My 82 Supra kept starving to near stall. For the previous replacement of the insanely expensive and stupidly located fuel filter, I had, first, balanced the car at the centre and rocked it back and forth, sloshing the fuel to wash the sediment out the drain.

It seemed to soon to need to replace it again, so, item by item, I replaced everything but the tires and eventually discovered the ** fuel filter plugged again from the old tank's sediment.

Again, I replaced the insanely expensive and stupidly located fuel filter. Then, with some help, I installed an in-line fuel filter between the tank and the pump, where the idiots should have installed it at the factory. Since it is a large filter for my 1-ton, diesel cube van, I doubt I'll ever have to replace it again, or at least not for years.

Even then, it will be far cheaper and easier than the manufacturer-idiots meant it.

Check your fuel supply filter(s). before you make the same stupid mistake as mine, failing to check the basics.

A low fuel cut is an indication of too much fuel however, not too little. A clogged fuel filter will give you a stuttering, hesitation feeling in these cars.

A Low fuel cut (which is what it is if it feels like it's hitting a brick wall) at the same place in boost everytime. This is either too much fuel, a boost leak, or the a Mass Air sensor failure.

re: brick wall @6psi
My low-fuel problem from the clogged filter gave no indication at start-up, but, after varying times and distance, would become increasingly sluggish and slow to swearing, horn-blasting, tail-gater speeds, but no stuttering. The power would just fade away.

It would stall if I applied much accelerator.

It's still a good idea to check the basics before other, more expensive investigations. If the filter's not clogged, fine, go on to other basics and gradually work to more expensive possibilities.

Of course, some symptoms exclusively suggest eplicite solutions. Basic, investigative procedures are the alternative for uncertainties.

Maybe, but when the symptoms point to a SPECIFIC issue, isn't it smarter to see if he's suffering from that issue or should he make sure he's got adequate tire pressure while he's at it?

Fuel cut is not caused by a clogged filter. He can check it. But his symptoms don't match that at all.
