Well, I'm getting my '87 Turbo next monday, and I have $200 left, haha. What should I do with it? I'm thinking a BOV, the one on there doesn't make any noise. Maybe some suggestions for a better use of my measly funds?
yeah, i was wondering about the BOV, does the fact that it doesnt make noise mean its broken? and yeah, chances are ill save this cash for anything that breaks right after i start driving it, though the mechanics report was perfect. Oh, and by the way, whats the weight difference if any between the platelike wheels on my 87, and the 5 spoke stock wheels on the later mkiii's?
the stock BOV's recirculate back to the intake, so there's no noise. at least not that is easily heard. if everything is running good, then first order of business is to let it breath easier...
Actually, in many cases a BOV that doesn't make noise is best. These are commonly used on applications where the motor runs on metered air. In Mk3 Supras for instance this is important.

Who came up with this 500px wide BS?
ug... dont get a blow off valve... just go for the bypass valve, the bov with make you run rich...
oh, and wolfie, good luck on the 2jz swap then... and have fun moving the firewall and doing the single turbo conversion right off the bat just to fit it in there... if this is actually successful... i want your 7mgte, lmao...
you just bought it??
if it hasnt already start saving up your money for a new metal head gasket. Then start your modding after you have the thing in perfect running order. otherwise like previously posted your going to get a mess of broken/ failing parts.
