What governor? Rev? Speed? Fuel Cut Off? Please be more detailed in your questions.

All such functions are governed by the ECU. Replace that, and there's no problem. The North American Supras never had a speed cut as I remember anyhow.

We don't have a speed governor. We lose out in the HP-vs-Wind Resistance equation. There is an RPM Limiter however.

My 87 will go right up to red line in 5th i don't like to do it because it seems kinda hard to hold it that high for any amount of time. But it will do it. Does anyone know what the top speed is the speedo reads 155 and it goes past it.

That depends greatly on a good number of things.

Your speed-o isnt accurate at that speed, so I wouldnt worry about it

I hope you don't intend to go around a rev limiter with your car as it is right now

Heh...I've given up trying to anticipate their thoughts. They'll find out what happens soon enough.

Fix your car. Stuff that's gone wrong. Fix it. Admire a stock car in nice shape. That should be something that should be done before mods, anyway, IMO...

(you wouldn't be getting any more power or be able to go faster by removing the rev limiter, you'll just grenade your motor)
