I can't believe this is another Mk5 thread.

So, FYI, here's what's up.

There's been lots of "leaked" information as to whether there will be a Mk5 Supra. For YEARS Toyota has said no. And to this day they say NO there will not. Others disagree. The Lexus LF-A is a concept car and is not currently even being considered for the Supra name (if it even got released under Toyota badging). Fact of the matter is, if Toyota releases another comsumer level Sports Car, It will 99% not be a "Supra", it won't carry the name and Toyota is done with the JZ lineage so the Inline 6 won't be in it either. These things together = No Mk5 Supra. To me if it doesn't have an inline 6 power plant, it's not a Supra, I could care less what they call it.

LF-A Est. Price: More than $100,000
Quote:
Lexus is taking a step in a bold new direction with the 500-horsepower LF-A concept vehicle introduced at the 2005 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit.

The LF-A is the newest addition to the two-year old Lexus styling philosophy known as L-Finesse. As Wahei Hirai, Toyota Motor Corporation's global managing officer of design, describes it, it is 'a new design language, based on the dynamism and inherent contrast between simplicity and elegance.'

The LF-A could reach speeds of up to 200 mph. Though it's five inches shorter than the Porsche 911 Turbo, its wheelbase is nine inches longer. Its height of 48 inches is almost identical to that of the Ferrari F430.

It sits on 19" tires and has an overall length of just over 173 inches.

So, That being that. What's your question?

[sidenote: Anyone else notice that the LF-A has a switch for TEMS on the dash? A feature Toyota/Lexus hasn't EVER fully made use of.]

Supra with a body kit? Get over it... there's no MKV.... there never was one.... never will be one. We should have some sorta script on here that automatically locks any thread with the words Supra and MKV in the same sentence . This crap is getting old.

That car has been around for several years. It's old news. There are scans from a magazine from 3 YEARS ago talking about it. I don't care what they call it, it's NOT a supra.

And No, I'm a hardass and you're a noob. That's how it works.

You obviously don't grasp the concept. I wasn't talking about your video and a car can be called anything they want, just because it's tooting around a track somewhere and someone goes "OH! It's the new Supra!!!!" does not mean that it's anywhere near true.

Find the video already (you're goin' on a day and a half so far) so we can shoot it down.
