how do you tell if it has a LSD it is in a supra not sure of the year but it is 4 wheel disk brakes and full indpendent supension any ideas i beleve it is a 2 gen non turbo 5speed thanks Smokey

I don't believe 2nd Gen's had LSD's.

Jack up 1 rear tire with trans in nuetral, no brake applied, if you can turn the tire no LSD. If the tire is held still and the brakes aren't just set too tight, yes LSD.

MKII's did, not necessarily as standard equipment, but they did. I believe the diffs do differ between years.

(Canadian MX73/MX83 Cressidas got LSD standard, the guts of said diffs interchange with the MKII/MKIII, respectively, I think)
