It's nice but he paid too much for his parts. I got my walbro 255 for about $70.

Personally, I'd rather just build my own that get one that I know nothing about.

o yeah of course but it seems as thought these cars have started to evolve to a higher extent. by that i mean if people are building multiple cloned engines then we might have a new outlook on the 7mgte

Not really, it's all the same parts. Besides that, a lot of power comes from tuning and turbos. And since we all know dyno queens suck, there's feasibly only so many options.

Yes, we've evolved since 1992, but I highly doubt we'll see anything that's just absoluely amazing for the 7M platform.

what go you think about data loggers?????plam pilots that you can do the logging through the existing sensors just hook up to the diao. port. I have a friend that is using one on his DSM talon tsi 13.04 1/4minle time slip. and we might have a friend that can get some programing done to allow this option to go on the supra. Ive looked all around for one but never found it so now im to making my own one with some guys that know a little bit more about programing thn me and have the reasources and stuff to make this thing nice.

You won't be able to make one, quite a few more knowledgeable people have tried. The 1G DSM ECU has serial connection on it, the 7M-GTE's does not. So, it can't be done anywhere as easily as you'd like.

Purdy engine. Expensive, but purdy. How good are your friends with wires? Making a data logger is possible, but you will have to splice into the harness and take your readings direct from the sensors. That means you will need to make a harness that goes into a box with a DAC (Digital Analogue Converter) to convert the signal to digital, and then output the info in a format that is usable to the Palm. BIG task. Why bother. The Toyota ECU can't be reprogramed. So to make use of the data to tune the car you would need to invest in a piggy back system to tune the engine. For the time and money you can get one of the many stand alone systems that already have built in dataloging. Then you can test and tune from a nice laptop interface. You can even get a nice ECU that will self learn and save you most of the trouble.
