W58 Transmission Question

I'm building a corolla and needed to beef up my drivetrain. I found a W58 transmission but it had a shiftstick that had it's shift knob threads stripped down to where it looks almost grinded down. It also has a missing "U" Joint. I found a 79-81 Celica/Supra because I needed the rearend, but I was wondering if the transion parts like the shift stick and "U" joint will bolt up to my W58 trans. I also have a couple more questions about the supra. My Question's are:

1. Can the shift stick from a 79-81 Celica/Supra W50 trans fit on the W58 trans?
2. Anyone Know of an aftermarket short throw shifter for the W58?
3. Will the "U" joint from the 79-81 Celica/ Supra W50 trans fit in the W58 spline?
4. Anyone know what the gear ratio is in the Celica/ Supra rear end?

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

And beyond. MKIV manual non-turbo and Lexus IS300 5-speed all use the W58.

As for the rear end ratio, I believe it varied between years. May be 3.73, 3.91, 4.10, I don't know.

I was on the Celicasupra site and they mentioned that the 79-81 had W50 transmissions which used a metal case and the internals were weaker than the W58. Thanks for the help guy's.
