changed my mind, how thick of a head gasket are we talking about? i have the titan 1.4 mm that i bought a long time ago when plans were different would that still be good enough?

He's really talking about getting a head gasket installed, preferably a 1.2mm MEtal Head Gasket. This would also require maching the head and the block, you can't just slap one on.

Well, hard a$$, i believe the question didn't have anything to do with whether i was doing it or not but more on the lines of how thick of a head gasket do i need to be safe with more boost.

Hostile are we?

Thickness depends on the car. How much has been milled off the head and block before? how much this time? You can't really guess in advance...well, you can, but you'll probably be wrong. Your starting with 1.0 as the stock thickness, then add for the machining, pick hte nearest size. If in doubt how much was removed, or prior machining, most rely on the 1.2 and don't have further problems. The change in compression is pretty minor this way. Don't use one larger than 1.4...you're asking for trouble.
